Sihcao Wetland Ecology
One of wetland's function is to filter the pollutants. When the river goes through wetland with pollutants, the hydrophyte will slow down the speed of the stream and attract heavy metal so that those pollutants will steep in the ground. The chemical reaction of nitrogen and phosphorus from those water plants prevent water from oxidation. Those water plants also can transfer solar energy to microbe and make oxygen to be the nutrition of fishes, shrimps, forests and wild animals.
The Mangrove on this wetland can be a wind prevention and reduces the damage of goods on the ground. The root of Mangrove can prevent coast from erosion. The abundant ground water layer also can prevent seawater from incursion and salty. Wetlands provide a place for those wild animals, fishes, shells and crabs and adjust the flood, purify the water. Besides that, this special landscape can be a resort and a place for natural education.
